Irvine Sensors, Now ISC8 Unveils New Logo and Branding
Fresh New Look Reflects Corporate Focus and Commitment to Deliver a New Breed of Cybersecurity Solutions
COSTA MESA, Calif., Nov. 8, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Irvine Sensors Corporation (OTCBB: IRSN), a provider of intelligent Cybersecurity solutions and supporting technologies, proudly introduces a new company name, logo and branding initiative – the first such endeavor in more than 30 years. As a part of the rebranding, Irvine Sensors has assumed the name of ISC8™.
The rebranding effort began when Senior Vice President of Business Development and Marketing, Joy Randels came onboard earlier this year. "Not often do you come across a company with three decades of experience with a unique approach to address Cyber threats and liabilities seen today," said Randels. "My goal is to bring this amazing new technology to the forefront of the information security market. ISC8 has been developing the technology in stealth mode and aims to compete head on with some of the big competitors with significant marketing resources, but like many quality products, large enterprises don't necessarily equate to the best quality offerings."
The company's bold new logo and brand bridge the old and the new. ISC8 reflects the company history in a modern way and the "8" signifies the human element and eighth layer associated with network security. The brand message is based on effective information security, which is comprised of multiple layers of defense that work together based on the premise that if one layer fails, the following layer will succeed. Until now only the technology layers of hardware and software have been addressed. However, the human layer is an important layer of information security defense that must be given significant attention.
"The human element is the arguably the most important layer of defense for information security. If an individual with malicious intent is able to effectively bypass the human layer, they can circumvent all of the other defensive layers of information security," Randels stated of the rebranding effort. "It is equally important to protect against unintentional breaches based on human error. Without this consideration, the time, money and resources directed towards the other layers of defense are wasted. The human layer is the pivotal point in security and requires the most attention."
The new look and attitude of ISC8 also extends to the products. In the past, the company marketed a broad base of product lines. ISC8 is now focused on bringing to market the most comprehensive Cybersecurity solutions available. That effort is supported with continued advances in the development of anti-tamper, advanced sensor and 3D stacking technology. ISC8 plans to launch the new product line in early 2012. "The soon to be released products are exciting. I've worked in security for a long time and you rarely see a technology that is truly innovative," said Randels. "I believe what we are bringing to market will set the new bar for information security."
Bill Joll, President and CEO commenting on the rebranding effort, of ISC8 expressed. "The new brand and name reflects the new focus and ongoing transformation of the organization. Joy's experience in this area was a key reason we brought her on board." Joll went on to say "The new brand publicly demonstrates not only where ISC8 stands today; but also where we are heading. Our new branding position tells our existing customers, and future customers, that we plan to offer the world's best-performing, most comprehensive Cybersecurity solutions available."
The new branding comes during an exciting time for ISC8. "ISC8 continues to move forward as a much stronger and focused organization," said Joll. "We have a well-respected and established reputation in government research and development. Our new brand is meant to convey the broader customer engagement into both the commercial and government segments, This will allow us to better communicate the full spectrum of what we provide to these customers alike, what they mean to us, and what we mean to them."
