IronPlanet to conduct retirement auction for 41-year-old New Jersey construction company
D.R. Mullen Construction Company Inc. will sell all its assets in Dec. 14 weekly online auction
OAKLAND, NJ, Nov. 27, 2017 /PRNewswire/ - Ray Mullen opened his construction business 41 years ago in Northern New Jersey. Shortly after the company opened, the county where his company was located experienced a housing boom and his company boomed along with it. Specializing in site work, road construction, sewer, watermain and storm drain installation, as well as curbing and paving, D.R. Mullen Construction Company Inc. was busy, growing to 35 employees.
Now 71 years old, after a great run in the business, Ray has decided to retire, choosing to sell all his company's equipment and trucks unreserved through an IronPlanet weekly online auction on December 14. Equipment highlights in the auction include excavators, dozers, graders, rollers, dump trucks, fuel trucks, service trucks, and more.
"We've always been very studious in the repair and service of our equipment—it's all ready to go to work for new owners," said Ray Mullen. "I chose to sell with IronPlanet because of the convenience their online auctions provide. They can market my equipment to buyers all around the world."
More than 130 items will be sold for D.R. Mullen Construction on December 14. Items will be available for preview and priority bidding starting December 1.
"We're honored Ray has trusted us to sell his assets and help fund his retirement—it's a responsibility we take great pride in," said David Kreis, Regional Sales Manager, Ritchie Bros.
