The new Welcome Center provides an outward face and even greater security for Iron Mountain and its customers and we remain committed to investing in surrounding County infrastructure that will improve access for customers and employees."
Pennsylvania is home to Iron Mountain's global business and customer operations centers in Collegeville and Royersford and more than 1,100 Iron Mountain employees throughout the state. More than 1,500 people, including 250 Iron Mountain employees, work at The Underground, a former limestone mine located 220 feet below the earth that provides capabilities for secure storage, imaging, data management and restoration, and data center capacity.
"We are proud to open this new addition to The Underground, our signature facility, which will serve as the primary focal point for visitors to our underground campus," said Dale Lawing, senior vice president and general manager for Iron Mountain's North Central region. "The security and safety of our customers' information and data assets is our highest priority, and this new welcome center underscores that commitment while providing our customers with a modern, comfortable space while they visit the Boyers campus.
