NEW YORK, June 22, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- IrisVR, the leading virtual reality platform empowering the architecture, engineering and construction industries, is welcoming Antonia Abraham Pitney as Chief Operating Officer. She will report to IrisVR Chief Executive Officer, Shane Scranton, who tapped Abraham Pitney for her vast experience in legal and operational support with a focus on growth.
Abraham Pitney previously served as interim COO, a role she began in the fall of 2016. She is a founder at Foredeck Consulting, LLC, which advises startups on fundraising and corporate strategy. Prior to IrisVR, Abraham Pitney was the Chief Financial Officer for Handshake Corp. She also served as a Venture Partner for FinTech Collective, Inc. and held the position of Director of Operations for Yodle. She is a graduate of Columbia University School of Law and received her undergraduate degree from Duke University.
"IrisVR holds exponential potential to advance the architectural, construction and engineering industries," says Abraham Pitney. "This is an exciting time for the company and I am honored to be a part of the executive team that will help grow the business. I am hoping to leverage my experience in enterprise SaaS to change the way people collaborate in building."
IrisVR is also announcing Dan Dattilo as the new Head of Enterprise Sales. Dattilo has over 20 years selling software for prominent companies such as Adobe and EMC. His primary tasks will be establishing IrisVR as an enterprise software company in the emerging virtual reality space, creating strong relationships with customers, and strategizing the firm's growth from the sales side.
Leah Kovach, IrisVR's new Marketing Manager, comes to IrisVR with four years of marketing Industry experience, with the last three and a half years at Movable Ink. She will be responsible for all marketing initiatives, including demand generation, content production, events strategy, PR, and social media.

These hires are the latest news for the quickly-growing New York City-based startup. Earlier this year, IrisVR co-founders Scranton and Nate Beatty were named to Forbes 30 Under 30 in the enterprise technology sector. In April, IrisVR announced their desktop software, Prospect, will support multi-user VR experiences, where users anywhere in the world can collaborate on a project by inviting others to an immersive virtual group session.
"We are committed to surrounding ourselves with top talent to support our mission to provide the best virtual reality products for engineers and architects alike." says Scranton. "We have a lot planned in the next year. Building on our team members' diverse backgrounds will set IrisVR up for success."
