IRIDEX Promotes Timothy D. Buckley to Vice President of Marketing and North American Sales
MOUNTAIN VIEW, Calif., Nov. 7, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- IRIDEX Corporation (Nasdaq:IRIX) today announced that, effective immediately, it has promoted sales and marketing executive Timothy D. Buckley to Vice President of Marketing and North American Sales. Buckley had previously taken over interim responsibility for domestic sales earlier this year, and will continue to report directly to James H. Mackaness, Chief Financial Officer and Chief Operating Officer.
Buckley, 38, has more than 16 years of experience in the medical device industry, including roles in sales, marketing and product development within the ophthalmology industry, for industry leaders such as Carl Zeiss Meditec and transformative start-ups such as Transcend Medical. He is the former CEO and co-founder of Alamo, CA-based Ocunetics, and joined IRIDEX in September 2011 when Ocunetics licensed its technologies to IRIDEX.
