IR Magazine to Launch 'Introducing Capital' Publication for the Alternative Investment Community
Newsletter will provide a voice to capital-introduction professionals around the world
NEW YORK, June 14, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Hedge funds have unique needs, and a traditional approach to investor relations and shareholder communications doesn't address them. As alternative investment vehicles become less 'alternative,' the ability of hedge funds and private equity funds to connect with institutional investors will only become more important.
To keep pace with these changes in alternative investment capital-introduction and shareholder communications, IR magazine is preparing to launch a new weekly publication that will deliver insights, information and analysis tailored specifically to the needs of hedge funds and private equity funds. Most contributions will come from practitioners actively working in the field, to keep the focus on direct practicality.
There has been a clear gap in the alternative investment information space for years, and it has grown with the mainstreaming of hedge funds and private equity funds. There is no single, cohesive community for capital-introduction professionals, and IR magazine is committed to taking an important step forward for the industry.
"The alternative investment sector needs its own voice, and our newsletter, 'Introducing Capital', will deliver it in its most authentic form," says Janet Dignan, CEO of Cross Border. "Rather than use journalists to speak for capital-introduction professionals, our contributor approach will allow them to speak for themselves."
IR magazine plans to launch 'Introducing Capital' in September 2011. Prospective sponsors and contributors should contact Tom Johansmeyer, group marketing director of Cross Border.
