IR magazine Announces the Finalists for the Canada Investor Relations Awards
Consistency key, as familiar faces prove
NEW YORK, Dec. 21, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- IR magazine, the only global publication dealing with the interfacing of companies and their shareholders, is excited to announce the finalists for the 2012 IR Magazine Canada Awards. Based on extensive, independent research conducted by IR Insight, the research arm of IR magazine, finalists have been determined for 23 categories, from best investor relations to best use of reporting and excellence in corporate social responsibility.
IR Insight identified the finalists through a survey of over 250 institutional investors and analysts from across the Canadian market, in the only IR sector awards program where the nominees and winners are determined by Canadian IR departments' core constituency. The winners will be revealed at the IR Magazine Awards 2012 in Toronto on February 1, 2012.
Key results include:
- Standout performance: TD Bank Financial Group leads the pack, as finalist in nine categories this year. Among them are grand prix – large cap, best investor relations officer – large cap, best IR by a CEO – large cap and best IR by a CFO, large cap.
- Consistent excellence: several other companies were nominated in multiple categories, including Goldcorp (six), CN (six), Bombardier (five), Canadian Natural Resources (five) and ARC Resources (four).
- Repeat performers: 2011 winners nominated again this year include ARC Resources, Cascades, CN, Corus Entertainment, Enbridge, RBC, SNC-Lavalin, Suncor Energy, TD Bank Financial Group and TELUS
