IQNavigator Expands European Footprint with the Launch of its Global Data Center in Germany
DENVER, Feb. 12, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- IQNavigator, the leading, independent provider of non-employee workforce management solutions, is expanding its global footprint with the launch of a European data center in Frankfurt, Germany. The data center is the first step in a wider initiative to build out IQNavigator data centers across the globe to meet customer demand for keeping client data near its point of origin. The data center in Frankfurt complies with strict European data privacy legislation, and offers flexibility for IQNavigator to scale with client needs.
IQNavigator prioritized its European operations expansion as a strategic priority to meet rapidly growing demand for its vendor management system (VMS), which helps global enterprises better manage their non-employee workforces and procured services globally. IQNavigator's new data center in Frankfurt – on the heels of announcing expanded operational facilities in Munich – is an extension of that strategy and provides vital infrastructure serving EMEA customers, particularly those in the northern and western European market.
IQNavigator's European data center is hosted by Interxion Germany, GmbH and meets the high standards outlined in the EU Data Protection Directive 95/46/EC. The data center is based on the industry standard Trust Service Principles for Security and Availability, is ISO 27001 and ISO 22301 certified and follows PCI DSS standards.
A global manufacturing company will be the first IQNavigator customer deployed in the new facility. All future clients will have the option to be hosted at the Frankfurt location.
"We are seeing a global trend of customers preferring their data stay near their primary corporate location and the Frankfurt data center is an important step in IQNavigator's ability to meet those needs," said Sherri Hammons, chief technology officer, IQNavigator. "As we build out our global data center capabilities, IQNavigator will have the ability to keep and process customer data at the point of origin, but aggregate it for reporting and analytic purposes. We believe this will also position IQNavigator to comply with potential privacy and regulatory laws around all types of workers in the future."
"The opening of the data center in Frankfurt is a landmark event in IQNavigator history, demonstrating not only our success and commitment to our clients in the region but also our understanding of market requirements," said Simon Fahie, managing director, EMEA, IQNavigator. "By moving part of our operations for the EMEA region to in-region hosted services, IQNavigator achieves enhanced data protection and privacy compliance, while maintaining a sensitive understanding of our client needs. As we ramp up our European expansion, co-locating our European data centers in Germany was the next logical step.
