IPL to Present How to Best Deploy a Master Data Management Strategy and a Business Process Management Strategy at Enterprise Data World 2012, Supported by StatOil
BATH, England, April 16, 2012 /PRNewswire/ --
- IPL to present a customer-centric keynote session with StatOil on Master Data Management, as well a further seminar on Business Process Management -
IPL, an IT services company specialising in IT solutions and consultancy, will be presenting two seminars on how best to deploy a Master Data Management strategy and a Business Process Management strategy at the world's premier Information Management event, Enterprise Data World 2012. The conference will be held at The Omni Hotel at The CNN Center, Atlanta, Georgia from 29th April until 3rd May 2012.
The first seminar will be supported by a case study from one of IPL's key clients, StatOil, an international energy company that introduced a data governance framework to effectively manage its complex Master Data across its global operations.
IPL is also participating in two further sessions at the conference - namely a workshop on the challenges particularly associated with oil & gas information management, the chairing of a user group meeting and a half day workshop, in conjunction with IPL's partner Alec Sharp, on the alignment of process and information architectures.
Enterprise Data World is the business world's most comprehensive educational event about data and information management. This year's conference presents a full five days of sessions, keynote speeches, workshops, tutorials, case studies, and discussions, totalling over 200 hours of content, and all presented in a vendor-neutral environment, covering the entire range of data management topics.
Delivering two seminars focusing on the subjects of delivering a Master Data Management strategy and a Business Process Management strategy will be Chris Bradley, Business Consulting Director at IPL. The first presentation will be a case study given in conjunction with Eldar Bjørge, Leading Information Architecure Adviser at StatOil, a key long-term customer for IPL. The session will explore how StatOil introduced a model-driven data governance framework across its global business operations to successfully manage its Master Data, including technically complex subject areas relating to the upstream oil & gas producer.
The half day workshop, in conjunction with Alec Sharp, aims to educate delegates why Business Process Management and Information models are so critical for successful business solutions. On listening to the presentation, Information Management professionals will be equipped with essential Business Process Management knowledge and Business Process Architects will benefit from receiving essential Information Management capabilities.
Bradley comments, "Enterprise Data World 2012 provides us with a great platform to educate the Information Management industry on how best to implement a Master Data Management strategy and a Business Process Management strategy. StatOil will be presenting alongside us at the conference, explaining the challenges they faced when, as part of its internationalisation programme, the company was required to introduce a data governance framework to successfully manage its complex Master Data."
Further to the two keynote presentations, Bradley will also be offering a workshop on the key information management challenges and opportunities that the Oil & Gas sector is currently facing, as well as chairing the largest face-to-face meeting of the Embarcadero ER/Studio user group - a data modelling discussion group - of which he is on the board of Directors..
Bradley concludes, "Supported by our client StatOil, we have a great opportunity to educate the industry about the impact that a model-driven data governance framework can have on companies. The conference will also enable us to network with peers so that we can share ideas and discuss industry trends, so that we are continually up to date with those issues that are shaping the market. We are therefore looking forward to being exposed to a wealth of opportunities that only a conference of this calibre could provide."
