IPC The Hospitalist Company Acquires Two Practices

NORTH HOLLYWOOD, Calif., Oct. 14 /PRNewswire/ -- IPC The Hospitalist Company, Inc. (Nasdaq: IPCM), the leading national hospitalist physician group practice company, announced today that it has acquired Post-Acute Medical Associates, PC, (PAMA) based in Morristown, New Jersey; and Muhammad Syed, MD, PC, in Las Vegas, Nevada.

On a combined basis, the two groups have an annualized volume of approximately 20,000 patient encounters. IPC already has an established presence in both markets. The acquired groups will join existing IPC practices, enabling the Company to provide broader coverage and higher quality of care to the facilities they currently serve.
