IoT6 xChange Summit: Enterprise Strategy, Vendor Collaboration, Deployment, Operation & Success
IoT6 xChange Announces event dates: September 29th through October 1st in Dallas, TX
SCARBOROUGH, Maine, June 2, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- The IoT6 xChange will be held at The Fairmont Dallas September 29 to October 1, 2015 in Dallas, TX. IoT6, produced by the founders of M6 Mobility xChange, nGage Events and the Metroplex Business Technology Council, is an invitation-only, strategic business forum that gathers industry thought leaders to address many segments of IoT strategy, deployment, operation and success.
The Internet of Things has many definitions but all focus on the ability to connect objects to each other and us to enable better, faster, cheaper interactions of everything in the world around us. Everything, from the lights in our homes to the cars we drive to the food we eat, can benefit from connection to the world around it.
Enterprise decision-makers are used to having new technologies disrupt their businesses with the promise of increased efficiency and productivity. Recently, mobility has been and continues to be one of those that delivers on that promise. Enterprise mobility and connectivity has evolved over the years, and is now poised to take the next step, the Internet of Things.
The IoT6 Summit program features keynote sessions, case studies, panels, as well as networking and peer breakouts around the basics of IoT value as well as the practical applications for individual verticals. How big is IoT? What is the overall market revenue opportunity? How do I take advantage of these opportunities and better our business?
Estimates to answer the first two questions range from 30 to 50 billion objects and $1 to $5 trillion by 2020. The third question is easier to answer, yet complex and hard to define, as there are many subsections. What, when, how, why and where do we connect things? What do we do with all of the data that we generate after connection? How will these connections impact the rest of my infrastructure? How can we manage our business/customers better based on IoT? How do I start?
"IoT must be on the list of IT priorities for every organization, ranking high alongside Cloud compute strategies, Big Data, Mobility, and Security in all elements of the business. The business implications of each of these items is substantial and they are all key elements of the upcoming sea change over the next 5 years." commented Peter DeNagy of Acommence Advisors. "The IoT6 Summit is designed to help enterprise decision makers clarify how to mitigate some of that risk and take advantage of the opportunity that IoT brings to an enterprise's value proposition."
Like the M6 Mobility xChange, the IoT6 Summit approach is unique as it includes scheduled time for broad presentations of general IoT theory, small group discussions, industry specific and vertical-focused topics as well as one-on-one conversations with leading vendors and peers on specific, targeted subjects. There are companies currently making IoT work for them, and they are willing to share their successes.
Attendees at the IoT6 xChange Summit will meet and learn from some of the leading experts in IoT through a conference program led by Peter DeNagy, Managing Principal/President at Acommence Advisors, Maribel Lopez of Lopez Research and, and a team of key advisory board members and speakers. Advisory Board members include:
