Smith to Deliver "How To" Session on Blending Physical and Digital Elements to Create a Hybrid Sales Meeting
CHICAGO, May 16, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Angela Smith, VP Client Services, INXPO, will deliver a "How To" session at Event Marketing Summit 2011 in Chicago, Illinois. Last year, Smith provided an Event Marketing Summit presentation about Cisco Systems' groundbreaking, 100% virtual event, the Cisco Global Sales Experience (GSX). This year, Smith will present a session titled "The Hybrid Model: Cisco's Global Sales Experience, One Year Later." Smith will be joined by Dannette Veale, Virtual & Digital Technology Strategist at Cisco Systems.
The session, which is part of the summit's "How Track," is scheduled for Wednesday, May 18, 2011 from 2:30 to 3:15PM CT. "I'll be sharing insights from my involvement with Cisco GSX and how we evolved the 100% virtual event from 2009 to a blended, hybrid experience in 2010 that drove deeper engagement and generated significantly higher satisfaction ratings," said Smith.
The session will focus on instruction over presentation and will incorporate challenges, game mechanics and prizes to engage the audience. "Slides are not effective at engaging the audience, so what we will do instead is walk the floor, engage the audience and invite them to be a central component of the session," said Smith.
A series of clues will be incorporated into Smith and Veale's presentation, which attendees will need to decipher in order to win one of several prizes. The clues relate to the growing importance of social media around event experiences.
