Investors Savings Bank Changes Its Name to Investors Bank
New Name Reflects the Broader Range of Capabilities that are Provided to Consumers and Businesses
SHORT HILLS, N.J., Sept. 19, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Investors Savings Bank is pleased to announce it has changed its name to Investors Bank. The new name helps capture the culture shift that has occurred at Investors — transforming it from a savings bank to a full service commercial bank.
Investors Bank President and CEO Kevin Cummings said, "Changing our name ever so slightly helps define who we have become while preserving our traditional values of providing quality banking services."
Customers will notice new signs at all of Investors Bank's 81 branches, while inside, customers will find the same friendly, dedicated bankers, ready to serve their customers' banking needs.
Mr. Cummings went on to say, "Investors Bank combines 85 years of prudent banking with the energy and enthusiasm of a fast-growing company focused on delivering world class customer service. Our corporate message, 'Banking in Your Best Interest,' clearly defines our company's mission."
Investors Bank serves a diverse range of personal and business customers in New Jersey, New York City, and Long Island as well as the surrounding region. With over $10 billion in assets, 900 employees, and strong capital reserves, Investors Bank provides a wide array of banking services including checking/savings/money market accounts, commercial loans, residential mortgages, treasury services, and personal investing products.
Investors Bank also introduced a new corporate logo known as "The Weave." The Bank's weave-like logo symbolizes the Bank's connections with its customers and communities.
The "Weave" will be featured prominently in Investors' signage, redesigned website (www.myinvestorsbank.com), social media initiatives, marketing materials, messaging, and corporate communications.
Also, to mark the first day as Investors Bank, a number of the bank's senior management team will join Mr. Cummings on a tour around the bank's market area to proudly announce and display the bank's new name and logo.
They plan to meet with customers, municipal leaders and representatives of local not-for-profit organizations to answer questions and emphasize Investors Bank's ongoing commitment to enhance and broaden its banking services and support community-based programs. The meetings will take place at Investors Bank branches in Bloomfield, Newark, Millburn, Elizabeth, Perth Amboy, and Red Bank.
In Newark, Mr. Cummings will announce a series of grants that the Investors Bank Foundation recently provided to organizations that serve Newark's elementary and high school students and young adults.
The Foundation has pledged $100,000 over four years to All Stars Project of New Jersey in support of its expansion campaign; $24,000 to the Scholarship Fund for Inner City Children to provide partial parochial school tuition to four high school students over four years; and $10,000 to Oliver Street Elementary School in support of its new engineering curriculum. Other recent donations made by the Bank include $25,000 to Newark's Cristo Rey School in support of its corporate internship curriculum.
Mr. Cummings will announce grant distributions to not-for-profit organizations in each of the communities visited by the executives. These include $10,000 to the YWCA of Eastern Union County in Elizabeth; $3,000 to Phoenix Productions in Red Bank; $1,500 to Concerts by the Bay in Perth Amboy; $1,000 (awarded in 2010) to the Garden State Concert Band in Bloomfield; and $5,000 to the Student Partner Alliance in Millburn. Millburn is home to the Paper Mill Playhouse, which has received more than $1.2 million in combined funding from the Bank and Foundation in the form of donations, grants, and sponsorships in recent years.
