PARIS, Jan. 23, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- For the first time, delegates at MIPIM will have the opportunity to dialogue publicly with experts and executives of investment companies about new strategies for real estate asset management and investments in pension fund, sovereign wealth funds and insurance companies.
Organised by Reed MIDEM, a subsidiary of Reed Exhibitions, MIPIM will be held in Cannes from 11 to 14 March, 2014.
"MIPIM is the must-attend event for international investors interested in real estate assets; we are expecting 4,500 major international investors this year. MIPIM delegates will have a unique opportunity to engage in a series of public discussions with investors on topics that are central to the real estate sector," says Filippo Rean, Director of MIPIM.
Amundi is organising a seminar on Wednesday, 12 March at 4:30pm during which participants will interact with a panel of experts including Philippe Ithurbide, Research Director of Amundi, and Amin Rajan, Chief Executive of CREATE- Research, a network of researchers conducting consulting assignments for governments, multinationals, and international organisations such as the European Union and the OECD. The theme of the conference is "rethinking asset allocation for long-term investors: strategic and tactical real estate investment."
A study conducted specifically for this session by the Amundi research team will form the basis for discussions and will be exclusively distributed to the participants of the conference. The floor will be regularly asked for its opinion and to vote on certain questions. Online pre-registration will be required to attend this conference.*

RE-Invest is being organised as a pre-opening MIPIM event in partnership with IP Real Estate and KPMG and sponsored by AXA Real Estate and Aberdeen Asset Management.

For example, Loan Market Association, which brings together credit professionals, will hold a conference on Thursday, 13 March at 2:30pm on the lessons learned from the global economic crisis and how to turn them into opportunities for the future.
Finally, the American Bar Association will hold a conference focussing on the role of "bad" banks with respect to the reconstruction of the European market, citing in particular the problems and successes of "bad banks" in Ireland, Spain and France.
