Investor Intelligence Network Has Nominated Cheryl Alston of the Employees' Retirement Fund of the City of Dallas for an Investor Intelligence Award
DALLAS, Jan. 26, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- Cheryl Alston, executive director of the Employees' Retirement Fund of the City of Dallas (ERF), has been nominated for the Investor Intelligence Award: Good Governance award by Investor Intelligence Network. The award, to be presented to the winner in Los Angeles in April, recognizes a keen understanding and execution of the principles needed for exemplary governance and the subsequent effect it has on the performance of the nominees' organization.

Alston began her term with ERF in October 2004. In 2011, she was appointed by President Barack Obama to the Pension Benefit Guaranty Corporation Advisory Committee, a government agency that protects the retirement incomes of more than 44 million American workers. In 2010, Alston was selected as one of the Rising Stars of Public Funds by the editors of Institutional Investor News.
In addition to serving as executive director for ERF, she is a member of the Council of Institutional Investors, The National Council of Public Employee Retirement Systems, the Texas Association of Public Employee Retirement Systems and the National Association of Securities Professionals.
