Exxon Mobil Corporation Research Reports
On November 3, 2014, Exxon Mobil Corporation (ExxonMobil) reported that it has entered into an agreement to become a founding member of MIT Energy Initiative (MITE). ExxonMobil stated that it will invest $25 million dollars over the next five years to support faculty and student research efforts. The Company, in collaboration with MIT, will expand and enhance renewable energy sources and discover more efficient ways to produce and use conventional hydrocarbon resources. Chevron Corporation Research Reports
On October 31, 2014, Chevron Corporation (Chevron) reported its Q3 2014 results. The revenue for Q3 2014 was reported as $54.7 billion, down 6.5% YoY, and also below the Zacks Consensus Estimate of $56.7 billion. The Company reported earnings of $5.6 billion, up 13.0% YoY on account of improved downstream business. The earnings from Company's downstream business during the quarter came in at $1.4 billion, up 265.0% YoY indicating the benefits of lower feedstock costs and better refinery reliability, particularly in the U.S. Earnings from upstream business were $4.6 billion, down 8.7% YoY. Chevron reported diluted EPS of $2.95 which was above the Zacks consensus estimate of $2.54, and was also higher than Q3 2013 EPS of $2.57.
