Investment Professionals, Inc. Names John Sacchetti Fixed Income Desk Director

SAN ANTONIO, Jan. 12 /PRNewswire/ -- Leading bank broker-dealer Investment Professionals, Inc. (IPI) today named John Sacchetti Director of its Fixed Income Desk. The appointment reflects significant growth in the number of IPI's bank investment programs over the past two years and expansion of its capabilities in retail private asset management and institutional trading.  

Strong demand for fixed income securities makes them the largest asset class and a key driver of financial advisor GDC.  Besides being a key component of a well-diversified portfolio, fixed income can play an important role in tax management strategies for high-net-worth investors.  In addition, IPI's expanded fee-based advisory services platform enables IPI financial consultants to offer bank investment program customers a range of cutting-edge managed account products in which fixed income figures prominently.

The naming of Mr. Sacchetti also reinforces a key strategy underlying IPI's success in the bank investment program segment: close collaboration between the bank and IPI to harvest revenue opportunities throughout the relationship.  Mr. Sacchetti's fixed income credentials, proximity to the IPI financial advisor and inherent cost efficiencies compel bank treasury departments to explore the benefits of working with IPI in several areas.

Prior to joining IPI as a financial consultant in one of IPI's largest bank programs, Mr. Sacchetti was a principal at Advisors Asset Management where as head of the National Accounts fixed income desk he grew the business by 75 percent from 2006 to 2008.  He also worked as a financial advisor at Wachovia Securities and Merrill Lynch where he managed multi-million dollar client portfolios.  Mr. Sacchetti holds a B.S. in Mathematics from Manhattan College.  He is Board Certified to teach mathematics in the Alamo Community College District.
