In 2000, C.T. "Ted" Bauer — co-founder of Houston's AIM Management Group, which merged with Invesco in 1997 — gave $40 million to the University of Houston's College of Business Administration, which now bears his name. Cemo Hall is named for UH alumnus Michael J. Cemo, former president and CEO of AIM Distributors, Inc.
"We could not be happier to host this event with Invesco," said Bauer Dean Latha Ramchand. "The first Financial Boot Camp for Women will honor the legacies of Ted Bauer and Mike Cemo in a very practical way, by giving real-life financial advice to women, who have long been underserved in the investment world."
The event's $25 registration fee includes lunch and a scholarship donation to the UH Bauer College of Business. For more information, including the opportunity to register online, please visit http://www.invesco.com/bootcamp/index.html.
