Inverse Announces Two Facebook Watch Original Series
NEW YORK, Aug. 31, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- Inverse, a two-year-old digital media and entertainment company, focused on sparking curiosity, is premiering two new original video series as part of the launch of the Facebook Watch platform.
Inverse's Facebook Watch original series include:
Big Ideas with Little Kids
This original series consists of world-renowned scientists attempting to break down complex theories to their most challenging class yet: a group of 7-year-olds. Conducting two experiments using relatable kid's toys and games, the scientists try to teach the adorable, yet not always attentive group in a way they can actually digest the information. Big Ideas with Little Kids features the amazing minds of Shannon Odell, Robbert Dijkgraaf, Dr. Bradley Johnson, André Fenton Ph.D., and Stephon Alexander. Big Ideas with Little Kids premieres on Thursday, August 31st, with new episodes debuting weekly on Thursdays.
Button Mashers
Inverse's Button Mashers profiles some of the greatest competitors in the world: professional eSports gamers. Hosted by comedian Zach Cherry (Spiderman: Homecoming, Broad City), each episode visits the home of a different elite gamer as we learn about their daily lives, training rituals, and gaming strategies. Gaming stars profiled include: Benita "bENITA" Novshadian, Visal "El TOWN" Mohanan, Alex "Khaos" Greenstein, Osama "Zag" Alkhalaileh, and Kayla "Faye" Murray. Button Mashers premieres on Monday, September 4th, with new episodes debuting weekly on Mondays.
"We are excited to work with Facebook for the launch of Watch," said Dave Nemetz, founder and CEO of Inverse. "These shows are part of a larger slate of original programming that Inverse has developed to spark curiosity in the next generation of audiences."
This is part of Inverse's broader effort to roll out more original programming projects. Inverse has already released a series examining the intersection of science and pop culture called "Science and Chill," with episodes exploring xenomorph biology from the Alien movies as well as wormhole travel from Guardians in the Galaxy.
