PITTSBURGH, Jan. 27, 2020 /PRNewswire/ -- "Because of the new ELD mandate, trucking companies need better ways to ensure that their drivers are staying legal while operating their trucks," said inventors from Concord, N.C. "For this reason, we came up with this efficient monitoring system to ensure compliance."
They developed the ELECTRONIC DUTY SENSOR to automatically log the driver as being on duty after a set time of being in the driver's seat. The system ensures that drivers remain legal per FMCSAR. It makes sure that drivers get out of their seats to take proper breaks. The invention holds drivers accountable for seat time. It makes it easier for companies to monitor their drivers to be assured of compliance. Additionally, the device is easy to use.
