PITTSBURGH, Feb. 25, 2020 /PRNewswire/ -- "I worked as a teacher's aide for 29 years, and I lost count of the number of untied laces I saw on the children's shoes," said an inventor from Aurora, Colo. "Instead of nagging students constantly to tie their shoes, I came up with a way to keep their laces tied."
She created a prototype for LACE-N-PLACE, patent pending, to keep shoe laces tied securely. The device prevents laces from coming untied. This eliminates the need to re-tie laces repeatedly. It reduces the risk of trips and falls, which is designed to enhance personal safety. The invention saves the individual from having to double-knot laces. Additionally, the device is easily transferable between pairs of shoes. It can also be used for backpacks or clothing with drawstrings.
The original design was submitted to the Denver sales office of InventHelp. It is currently available for licensing or sale to manufacturers or marketers.
