PITTSBURGH, Oct. 17, 2023 /PRNewswire/ -- "We are registered nurses and we wanted to create a more effective way to administer sterile sugar water to babies undergoing medical procedures," said one of two inventors, from Matlock, Wash., "so we invented the SWEET COMFORT PACIFIER. Our design would make the entire process more efficient and neater."
The invention provides an improved way to administer sugar water to neonates/infants during painful medical procedures. In doing so, it eliminates the need to dip a standard pacifier in sucrose solution. As a result, it increases convenience for nurses/caregivers and it provides added comfort for babies. The invention features an effective design that is easy to use so it is ideal for hospitals. Additionally, it is producible in design variations.
The original design was submitted to the Seattle sales office of InventHelp. It is currently available for licensing or sale to manufacturers or marketers.
