PITTSBURGH, July 28, 2020 /PRNewswire/ -- Two inventors, from Moscow, Ohio. wanted to create a safer way for a wheelchair user to move to and from the wheelchair, so they invented the RETRACT-A-BOARD.
The invention provides an easier way to transfer an individual from a wheelchair to a bed or chair. In doing so, it offers an improved alternative to traditional wheelchair designs. As a result, it could enhance safety and comfort and it eliminates the need to use a separate transfer device. The invention features a practical design that is convenient and easy to use so it is ideal for individuals who utilize manual or electric wheelchairs and medical facilities. Additionally, it is producible in design variations.
The inventor described the invention design. "Our design could help to prevent injuries to wheelchair users and caregivers."
