PITTSBURGH, Feb. 10, 2020 /PRNewswire/ -- "We are employed in the construction industry and adjust nearly 1,000 manholes each year as there is no way to get a centerline structure to match the road perfectly," said inventors from Hopkins, Michigan. "This inspired us to develop a manhole that is contoured like the road."
They developed the patent pending CROWN STRUCTURE that may provide a smoother road surface that could improve traffic safety. This invention could provide the same degree of strength and durability as conventional manholes. Additionally, it would conform to both sids of a road crown when used on the centerline of a roadway.
