The invention provides an improved method of picking fruit and transferring it to a basket. In doing so, it enables fruit to be picked from various levels of a fruit tree. It also helps to prevent bruises and blemishes and it could contribute to increased fruit yields. The invention features a practical design that is easy to use so it is ideal for fruit harvesters, orchard owners, gardeners and do-it-yourselfers. Additionally, it is producible in design variations.
