PITTSBURGH, May 23, 2023 /PRNewswire/ -- "I have had to continually replace the ends of my extension cord, and thought there should be a way to prevent users from bending or breaking the prongs, so I invented this," said an inventor from Boise, ID. "My invention would reduce the need for frequent replacement of extension cords."
This patent-pending, convenient and time-saving device offers a way to reduce the likelihood of breaking the male prongs on an extension cord when pulled out of the socket accidentally. As such, it would provide cost savings to consumers and commercial users, and could reduce the necessary replacement of extension cords. Additionally, the device could be added on to the design of a traditional extension cord, or offered as an aftermarket accessory to extend the life of an existing extension cord.
The original design was submitted to the San Diego sales office of InventHelp. It is currently available for licensing or sale to manufacturers or marketers.
