PITTSBURGH, March 20, 2020 /PRNewswire/ -- Production equipment used to extract gas and oil from downhole wells is subjected to constant wear and tear. Fortunately, an inventor from Bakersfield, Calif., has redesigned a modified plunger assembly for downhole well rod pumps to alleviate that problem.
He developed patent pending FARR-FLEX to minimize wear in horizontal and deviated wells, as well as wear due to the presence of sand in a pump barrel and related components. As such, it will traverse bends in the pump. It provides tighter tolerances and prevents jams and related problems, increasing the longevity of the pump. Efficient and easy to install and use, this novel attachment is also versatile for use with traditional plungers on the market In addition, it is durable for years of effective service.
The inventor's experience on the job inspired the idea. "I saw a need for this while working in the oil industry since customers asked me to find a solution to this problem," he said.
The original design was submitted to the Fresno sales office of InventHelp. It is currently available for licensing or sale to manufacturers or marketers.
