PITTSBURGH, Dec. 21, 2020 /PRNewswire/ -- "I'm a nurse and I thought there could be a better external catheter to prevent discomfort, irritation and infections," said an inventor, from Fremont, Calif., "so I invented the URINE COLLECTION DEVICE. My design can be used for either gender and it enables you to accurately measure urine output."
The invention provides an effective external catheter for men or women. In doing so, it offers an alternative to sheath/condom catheters or internal catheters. As a result, it increases comfort and hygiene and it helps to keep the urine away from the skin. The invention features a practical design that is easy to use so it is ideal for non-ambulatory patients in hospitals, nursing homes and assisted living facilities. Additionally, a prototype is available.
The original design was submitted to the San Francisco sales office of InventHelp. It is currently available for licensing or sale to manufacturers or marketers.
