Intronix Technologies Introduces Myoguide™ iNFOcard, Providing Physicians With Pertinent Information Rapidly, Concisely and in Multiple Formats
Electronic clinical library to ship with the Myoguide™ EMG Guided Injection System
TORONTO, Nov. 5, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- The operator's manual may be useful for setting up a piece of equipment, but when it comes to medical technology, one Canadian developer of medical devices realized physicians want information quickly, succinctly, and in a variety of formats. So Intronix Technologies Corp. (http://www.intronixtech.com) set to work doing what it does best: creating innovative solutions to meet the needs of clinicians. The result is the new Myoguide™ iNFOcard, an electronic library that will ship with every new Myoguide™ EMG Guided Injection System.
Regarded as a superior way to deliver targeted injections for the management of pain, spasticity and fibromyalgia, the Myoguide system's proprietary technology detects critical information about the tissues targeted for injection. That information is instantly available to the medical practitioner, increasing the likelihood of successful injections.
Though Myoguide is simple to operate, physician feedback indicates an eagerness for information about the system beyond that supplied by an ordinary operator's manual. Accordingly, the iNFOcard is a completely new kind of documentation -- one the company believes will provide practitioners with a valuable library of information available to use right out of the box.
Encased in black anodized alloy, the iNFOcard is easily accessed by any computer and complements Intronix's online Myoguide resources. The iNFOcard features every clinical video posted by Intronix, including Piriformis Syndrome and E-Stim procedures, along with translated operator's manuals, multi-lingual animated videos, the new Myoguide instructional video, and the company's current whitepapers, "Trigger Points" and "EMG Guidance for Improved Outcomes."
"We are pleased to include our new iNFOcard with every Myoguide," said Dr. Evan Friedman, president of Intronix Technologies. "iNFOcard provides a comprehensive clinical package for clinicians managing pain, movement disorders, spasticity and cosmetic applications. Our goal is to put a wealth of supportive information at Myoguide users' fingertips, and we feel the iNFOcard achieves that goal."
Still, some will always prefer hard-copy owner's manuals. For that reason, Intronix will continue to include printed operator's manuals in English and Spanish with each Myoguide.
Ambu USA and Intronix will showcase the Myoguide EMG Guided Injection System and iNFOcard at The American Academy of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (AAPM&R) Annual Assembly, November 15-18, 2012 at the Georgia World Congress Center. Intronix invites attendees of the Assembly to stop by booth 823 to meet the team and learn more about Myoguide and the iNFOcard.
The following month, Myoguide will be available in the Ambu USA booth at the International Neurotoxin Association (INA) TOXINS 2012: Basic Science and Clinical Aspects of Botulinum and Other Neurotoxins conference from December 5-8, 2012 at the Eden Roc Renaissance in Miami Beach, Florida.
