Intervale Capital Promotes Tuan Tran to Principal

CAMBRIDGE, Mass., Dec. 11, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Intervale Capital ("Intervale"), an energy-focused private equity firm, is pleased to announce the promotion of Tuan Tran to Principal.  In this new role, Tuan will focus on transaction sourcing and execution and portfolio company oversight.

Tuan joined Intervale in 2006 as an Associate, and has been investing exclusively in the oilfield services industry since 2005.  Over the past eight years, Tuan has lead several transactions, and played a key role in Intervale's recent acquisition of Antelope Oil Tool & Manufacturing Co., LLC ("Antelope").  Tuan currently serves on the Boards of Directors of Antelope, Proserv Group Inc., and Benchmark Completions, LLC.

Prior to the formation of Intervale in 2006, Tuan was an associate at Cherington Capital, a private equity firm focused on the oilfield services industry.  He started his professional career in Lehman Brothers' Investment Banking Division, where he spent time in New York, Tokyo and Hong Kong.  Tuan received his B.A. in Government, with honors, from Harvard College.
