Internet Storm Center Incident Handlers to Talk Cyber Threats at SANSFIRE 2014

BETHESDA, Md., June 12, 2014 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- SANS Institute today announced the return of SANSFIRE, SANS' annual Internet Storm Center (ISC) training event. SANSFIRE 2014 will take place in Baltimore, MD June 21 – 30.  This unique event brings together ISC handlers from around the world as they share their most interesting experiences and the newest cyber hazards.

Some of this year's highlights include a talk by ISC handler Rob VandenBrink on Consulting from a Virtual Island; Adrien de Beaupre will present Bust a Cap in a Web App With ZAP; Russ McRee will discuss C3CM Defeating the Command, Control, and Communications of Digital Assailants; Manuel Humberto Santander Pelez, will discuss Avoiding Cyberterrorism Threats Inside Electrical Substations. Additionally, Dr. Ullrich will be joined by Marcus Sachs, ISC Director Emeritus, as they lead a State of the Internet Panel Discussion.

The ISC is a SANS Institute program which monitors the level of malicious activity on the Internet.
