Internet Evolution Launches 60 Days of Executive Education
Lecture series encompasses 4 hot technology tracks, 4 key vertical industries, with keynotes from Pandora's Tim Westergren and Boing Boing's Cory Doctorow
NEW YORK, Aug. 2 /PRNewswire/ -- The boardroom meets the classroom as Internet Evolution's 60 Days of Executive Education (6DEE) gets underway today with a welcome and invocation from Pandora executive Tim Westergren along with Richard Stiennon lecturing on what CXOs consistently misunderstand about enterprise security.
Stiennon's security series will continue for the rest of the week and is the first of eight, week-long lecture series; other lecturers will cover cloud computing, smart grid, banking, retail, virtualization, healthcare, and greentech. Each lecture includes a live, Web-based chatroom where participants can interact with each other and the lecturer.
For more information or to register, see the full schedule here:

Participants will earn grades for each series of lectures; those with enough credits can even graduate with high honors and land on the Executive Honor Roll. Participants also have a chance to win one of 10 iPads that will be given away over the course of 6DEE; the first 4,000 graduates will also receive a cerebrally-themed t-shirt to display their matriculated status.
"Technology moves so fast that no one – least of all enterprise executives and senior IT professionals – can be expected to keep up with the latest thinking in how to use technology to improve the bottom line and exploit new sources of revenue," says Terry Sweeney, Editor in Chief of Internet Evolution, and Dean of the 6DEE curriculum. "And that's why we created 6DEE: to give executives and key IT decision-makers an inside track for integrating IT and strategic objectives, improving ROI, and making the data center a competitive differentiator."
6DEE continues every week with a new lecture topic through Sept. 27; Cory Doctorow, Web activist and co-founder of Boing Boing, will speak to graduates in a commencement address on Friday, Oct. 1, at 1:00 p.m. ET.
