International Utility Expert Joins Apex As Vice President Of Operations

HERNDON, Va., Aug. 22, 2013 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Apex CoVantage, a leading provider of Smart Grid  technology and services, is pleased to announce that Sangeet Dutta, an internationally renowned utility expert, has joined the Smart Grid Solutions division as Vice President of Operations. This strategic hire solidifies the company's position in the Smart Grid space and positions it for advancing its ProField technology.

Mr. Dutta has over 27 years of leadership experience in the power industry and extensive involvement in smart grid projects on a global scale.  He has completed assignments in India, Ukraine, Cameroon, Brazil, Dominican Republic and most recently, Jamaica, where he created tremendous value for shareholders through streamlined operations and reduction of utility system loss, all in a highly adverse macroeconomic climate. Prior to joining Apex, Mr. Dutta served as Senior Vice President at Marubeni Power International, Vice President of Customer Operations at Jamaica Public Service Company Limited, Director of Distribution at Empresa Distribuidora de Energia del Este, and Regional Business Unit Leader at AES-Sul.   He holds degrees in electrical engineering, finance and accounting, applied technology and general management.
