International Systems Research Acquires ISO/IEC 27001 and ISO/IEC 27018 Certification

TOKYO, Feb. 28, 2018 /PRNewswire/ -- International Systems Research Co. (ISR), a certified Google Cloud Premier Partner and cloud security solutions provider, today announced that its Operations Department in Japan was granted the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) 27001* and 27018** certification.

When it comes to cloud service platform design, construction, and operations, ISR considers cloud security as top priority and has been providing CloudGate Service***, a cloud-based authentication service, since 2008. As a result of this continuous effort, the ISR Operations Department passed the reviews and acquired the ISO/IEC 27001:2013 and ISO/IEC 27018:2014 certifications within only 10 months.

ISO/IEC 27001:2013 is an international standard for ISMS (Information Security Management System). It specifies the requirements for establishing, implementing, maintaining and continually improving an information security management system within the context of the organization. **About ISO/IEC 27018:2014
ISO/IEC 27018:2014 is an international standard that establishes code of practice for protection of personally identifiable information (PII) in public clouds acting as PII processors. In particular, ISO/IEC 27018:2014 specifies guidelines based on ISO/IEC 27002, a well-used international standards on information security management, taking into consideration the regulatory requirements for the protection of PII which might be applicable within the context of the information security risk environment(s) of a provider of public cloud services.
