The panelists have a wide-ranging depth of knowledge across all sports properties—NASCAR, National Football League, Major League Baseball, National Basketball Association, National Hockey League—as well as other leagues. Other areas of expertise the panelists will explore include the media landscape, and political and legislative issues.
Horrow will moderate the discussion as well as provide his unique perspective on the issues.
The Sports Business Insider Series attendance and webcast viewing is by invitation only, although followers of @ISCupdates, @RickHorrow, and @daryl_wolfe will get #InsiderSeries content during the series. Details about the September 27th Sports Business Insider Series webcast will be announced the week of September 16th.
"The Sports Business Insider Series will be an outstanding forum to bring some of the most innovative, progressive and insightful executives together to discuss current topics that are at the forefront of our industries," says ISC President John Saunders. "Having these open-ended discussions will benefit not only each other as we gain valuable insight from the panelists but also will show that all major sport properties are faced with similar issues and opportunities. We are fortunate to have Rick involved as it gives additional authority to the series. He is not only a well-known sports media personality but also is involved in major sports at all levels."
"The billion-dollar business of sports evolves daily," Horrow adds. "As fans become more sophisticated, sponsors become more demanding, TV networks become more creative, and technology becomes more advanced, the industry must demonstrate more insight. I am excited to help implement the ISC vision in sharing 'best practices,' and analysis with industry partners around the country. It will be a win-win opportunity for all involved."
