International Society of Iridoid Research Created
Scientists and researchers from around the world become founding members
PROVO, Utah, Aug. 30, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- During the second day of the International Iridoid Research Symposium held at Tahitian Noni International (TNI) on August 10th, scientists and researchers from around the world created a new "International Society of Iridoid Research" - a scientific group dedicated to promoting and sharing independent research on iridoids in plants and animals. The society will take the place of the former International Iridoid Research Council, and become the new official sponsor of the annual International Iridoid Research Symposium.
The new society elected Jarakae Jensen as its first acting president, with Prof. Dr. Johannes Westendorf from Germany as president elect.

As the new official sponsor of the symposium, the society also officially set the dates for the 3rd Annual International Iridoid Research Symposium which will be held August 7th and 8th in 2012, at the Tahitian Noni International worldwide headquarters and research facilities. The purpose of the symposium is to bring together scientists from around the world that would normally not have the opportunity to share independent iridoid research. The International Society of Iridoid Research is the only organization in the world that is dedicated specifically to sharing iridoid research.
