International Press Academy Names 2014 Winners

LOS ANGELES, Feb. 16, 2015 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- "Birdman" and "Boyhood" were the big winners in the Motion Picture categories at the International Press Academy 19th annual Satellite Awards handed out on Sunday night, and "Olive Kitteridge," "Penny Dreadful," "The Knick" and "Transparent" won major TV awards.

Legendary actress Ellen Burstyn was there to pick up the Mary Pickford award and Martyn Burke, who wrote and directed the Peabody-award-winning documentary Under Fire: Journalists in Combat, was the latest recipient of the Auteur Award. Producer, director and writer Shlomi Elkabetz was honored as the Independent Producer of the Year. Industrial Light & Magic won the Nikola Tesla Award for Visionary Technical Achievement.

The International Press Academy is a global association of professional entertainment journalists representing a multitude of renowned print, broadcast and digital media outlets.
