PHILADELPHIA and CHERRY HILL, N.J., July 20 /PRNewswire/ -- Duane Morris LLP is pleased to announce that Adam J. Taliaferro has joined the firm's Employment, Labor, Benefits and Immigration Practice as an associate in its Cherry Hill, New Jersey office. The addition to the firm of the well-known motivational speaker, former Penn State University football player and prominent fundraiser for spinal-injury charities strengthens Duane Morris' national employment practice as well as its gaming law capabilities.
Taliaferro focuses his practice on employment law litigation, representing clients in a variety of employment law matters, as well as representing clients in the gaming industry in a wide range of legal matters. He has helped clients with regard to the evaluation of National Football League (NFL) contracts and helped create NFL contract proposals for clients. He has planned and formed limited liability companies on behalf of professional athletes in the NFL and the National Basketball Association. He then led his team onto the field to start the next season. Taliaferro is the founding board member of the Adam Taliaferro Foundation, which provides emotional, financial and educational support to student-athletes who suffer catastrophic head or spinal injuries on the field. Taliaferro was also the honorary chairman for the 2002 Special Olympics Summer Games.
Taliaferro has received many awards, including the 2009 Philadelphia Sports Writers Humanitarian Award and Bank of America's Neighborhood Excellence Initiative Award.
