ISLANDIA, N.Y., Feb. 14, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- CA Technologies (NASDAQ: CA) today announced that International Game Technology (IGT) selected the CA AppLogic® turnkey cloud computing platform for delivering its advanced casino software as a service via the cloud. By collaborating with CA Technologies on its new IGT Cloud, IGT is transforming the gaming industry by empowering casino operators to provide seamless gaming experiences across land-based, mobile, and online devices.

Through a rigorous evaluation of platform vendors, IGT chose CA Technologies as their cloud partner because of the company's innovative approach to IGT's virtualization strategy and cloud business initiative. The CA AppLogic platform enables IGT to deploy software via a cloud-based service model and remove architectural boundaries introduced by traditional virtualization technologies.
