International Economic Development Council to Honor Congressman Fattah with Congressional Leadership Award
WASHINGTON, March 23, 2014 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Congressman Chaka Fattah (D-PA) will be honored Monday, March 24 by the International Economic Development Council (IEDC) for his Congressional leadership on key economic development initiatives, including manufacturing, STEM education, and foreign direct investment attraction. The recognition from the IEDC comes during the organization's Federal Economic Development Forum in Washington.
The Congressional Leadership Award recognizes a member of Congress who has made significant contributions in economic development. In his role as Ranking Member of the House Appropriations Subcommittee on Commerce, Justice, and Science, Congressman Fattah has been a leading champion of economic development activities across the country, emphasizing the importance of manufacturing for the United States' economic growth.
