International Digital Emmy(R) Awards Nominees Announced
First Time Emmy(R) Nominations in Digital Categories for Brazil, New Zealand & Hong Kong, China
Film & TV Actress/Producer Illeana Douglas to Host Awards Ceremony on April 12, 2010
PARIS and NEW YORK, March 2 /PRNewswire/ -- Nominees from 7 countries will compete for this year's International Digital Emmy® Awards, it was announced today by the International Academy of Television Arts & Sciences. The Emmys will be presented at a special ceremony hosted by film & television actress/producer Illeana Douglas on Monday, April 12, at MIPTV in Cannes. There are 13 nominees in 3 categories, Digital Program: Children & Young People; Digital Program: Fiction and Digital Program: Non-Fiction. The full list of Nominees from Brazil, Canada, Finland, Germany, Hong Kong, New Zealand and the United Kingdom follows this release.

This is the first time that Brazil, Hong Kong and New Zealand are nominated for an Emmy in the Digital Categories.
"The 2010 nominees showcase global excellence in programming on digital platforms and we congratulate them for their outstanding achievements," said Bruce L. Paisner, President & CEO of The International Academy.
In addition to the presentation of the International Digital Emmy® Awards for the three categories, The International Academy will present a special award - the Pioneer Prize, which is not an Emmy® but rather a special initiative from the Academy which honours an industry personality or organization. The Pioneer Prize will be presented to Heroes Creator & Executive Producer Tim Kring, for his contribution to the fields of digital television and cross-platform entertainment with Heroes Evolutions.
