International CTIA WIRELESS® 2012 Show Set for New Orleans on May 8 - 10

WASHINGTON, Feb. 24, 2011 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- CTIA–The Wireless Association® today announced the International CTIA WIRELESS® 2012 show will take place May 8 – 10 in New Orleans, Louisiana at the Ernest N. Morial Convention Center. The CTIA show is the premier mobile industry event representing a vibrant $1 trillion global marketplace.

This will be CTIA's first show in New Orleans since 2005. The New Orleans Convention and Visitors Bureau continues to invest in the city's facilities. New Orleans boasts an increase of 300 restaurants since 2005, along with new cultural attractions, $400 million of improvements to local hotels, $250 million of improvements to the Louisiana Superdome and $92.7 million of improvements to the Ernest N. Morial Convention Center, one of the largest meeting venues in the U.S.  The Center features newly remodeled exhibit space, providing a modern and geographically desirable destination for international exhibitors and attendees.

This year's International CTIA WIRELESS is expected to host 40,000 attendees, March 22-24, 2011 at the Orange County Convention Center in Orlando, Florida. The vertical markets with a strong presence at the show include: cloud computing; retail; healthcare; energy; transportation; and marketing; among others.
