ATIS' Today's Technology Leaders, Tomorrow's Networks Summit is scheduled for Tuesday, March 22 and Wednesday, March, 23, 2011. As a global technical planning and standardization leader, ATIS is uniquely well-positioned to address the industry's growing technological opportunities and challenges.
Featuring timely and topical programming, ATIS' Summit will comprehensively address the industry's evolving network and infrastructure. Areas of programming will include: the impact of exploding data volumes on existing and future infrastructure, the role of traffic and policy management in containing network cost and enhancing user QoE, the latest thinking on network transformation, increasing network virtualization, cloud computing's revolutionary capabilities, and more.
The Summit will open with a keynote address by ATIS' Chairman of the Board – and AT&T Chief Technology Officer – John Donovan. Following that keynote, Mr. Donovan will participate on a Service Provider Executive Panel featuring: George Nazi, BT's President 21CN, Global Networks & Computing Infrastructure; Pieter Poll, Qwest's Chief Technology Officer; Mathew Oommen, Sprint's Vice President/Chief Technology Officer; and Tom Sawanobori, Verizon Communication's Vice President, Technology Planning.
Following Tuesday's Service Provider CTO Panel, Wednesday will feature a moderated Vendor CTO Panel, including Marcus Weldon, Alcatel Lucent's CTO; Paul Mankiewich, Juniper's Chief Architect - Mobility Solutions; and Robert McIntyre, Cisco's CTO, Service Provider Business. This Panel will explore the changing realities facing vendors in this new communications ecosystem. Like the Service Provider event on the preceding day, this panel will convene the global vendor community's leading minds to explore those issues shaping their business now and in the future.
Multiple industry visionaries and leading technology executives have already agreed to present conference programming. Speakers are confirmed from the following companies: Alcatel-Lucent, AT&T, BT, Cisco, Ericsson, Fujitsu, GENBAND, Nokia Siemens Networks, Qwest, TELUS, U.S. Cellular, Verizon, and more.
The event is also garnering substantial industry support, with the following companies agreeing to sponsor the event: Cisco, Ericsson, Fujitsu and Nokia Siemens Networks. Connected Planet and FierceTelecom will be Media Sponsors.
"The ICT ecosystem is moving and changing with incredible speed," said Susan Miller, ATIS' President and CEO. "Today's Technology Leaders, Tomorrow's Networks Summit at International CTIA WIRELESS 2011 will examine those technologies enabling that evolution, and provide timely insights necessary to maintain a competitive edge in this hyper-competitive environment."
