International Coal Group Clarifies MSHA Production Data
SCOTT DEPOT, W.Va., April 15, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- International Coal Group, Inc. (NYSE: ICO) today clarified its first quarter 2011 production volumes from its ICG Illinois Viper mine and Wolf Run Mining Company Sentinel mine following incorrect production data reported on the Mine Safety and Health Administration ("MSHA") website.
For the first quarter of 2011, the Viper mine in the Illinois Basin produced a total of 640,000 tons and the Sentinel mine in Northern Appalachia produced a total of 324,000 tons. Volumes produced at each mine were within normal quarterly expectations.
International Coal Group is in the process of working with MSHA to correct the information included on the public database.
