ROSEVILLE, Calif., Dec. 30, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- International Business Systems (IBS), a global leading integrated ERP, WMS and supply chain solution provider, introduced Graham Newland as the company's first-ever Chief Customer Officer today. The executive appointment demonstrates its commitment to customer service excellence in the industry.
In this new role, Newland will oversee all customer service functions, including professional services, managed cloud services and support, and IT – all previously split across distinct departments. The reorganization under Newland aims to consolidate customer support under one leader to enhance the quality of customer care.
"The importance of customer satisfaction cannot be understated," Newland said. "My team and I will be able to provide the highest degree of care for customers, consistent across all aspects of product delivery and support. Customers want to deal with a single point of contact for all of their service needs, and our team can deliver that – enabling continuity and longevity of relationships."
Newland has held several executive and senior operational leadership roles for global and multinational companies in the supply chain industry. Prior to joining IBS, Newland was Senior Vice President at i2, and has previously held senior operational roles at both Manugistics and Torex. Across these roles, Newland has successfully delivered excellence in providing integrated services and support. Recognized as a trusted supply chain expert, he regularly guest lectures at Oxford University's continuing education programs designed for full-time business and supply chain professionals.
His career has focused on distribution-intensive, process-based industries, including retail, wholesale, 3PL, oil and gas, chemical and consumer product companies, making him a suitable choice for IBS as a trusted industry leader of ERP and supply chain management software.
"We're delighted to welcome Graham Newland to our executive team," said Steven Hargreaves, CEO at IBS. "His proven ability to manage all aspects of the customer lifecycle – both service and solutions delivery across software, cloud, managed services and infrastructure – demonstrates the sophisticated thinking that will serve IBS and our customers well. His new role reinforces our vision for the future – and with a keen understanding of process, industry trends and functional skill, Newland will play a pivotal role in helping our company grow by retaining customers through service excellence."
