ISLANDIA, N.Y., Sept. 21 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Intermountain Healthcare (Intermountain) has chosen CA Technologies (Nasdaq: CA) to help enhance IT services at its 23 hospitals and more than 150 clinics in Utah and Idaho. The nonprofit health system plans to use the CA Project and Portfolio Management (PPM), CA Service Assurance, CA Service Automation, CA Service Management, and CA Virtual solutions to support enhanced IT service delivery capabilities across Intermountain's clinical and business applications and services.

CA Services will partner with Intermountain to configure and integrate the solutions. The initiatives will help Intermountain achieve four key business goals:
- Reduce Costs and Mitigate Risk: The integration between CA Service Management and CA PPM provides the capability for Service Portfolio Management, which will help Intermountain improve operational efficiencies with IT transformation, gain visibility to total costs of ownership of assets and labor, and utilize IT management integration to reduce risk.
- Anticipate and Respond to Growth: The integration between CA Service Automation and CA Service Management will help Intermountain provide IT capacity as needed, manage third-party data center relationships, and reduce the ever increasing demands for additional IT labor.
- Increase Availability: The full CA Service Assurance solution integrated with CA Virtual will help Intermountain minimize disruption of business by linking real end-user experience, transactions and applications with the underlying systems and network infrastructure supporting them. This will enable Intermountain to understand the real-time performance, risk and quality of business services across their physical and virtual environments.
- Increase Customer Satisfaction: The integration among CA PPM, CA Service Assurance, CA Service Automation, CA Service Management and CA Virtual will enable Intermountain to execute, measure and report on service levels and end-user experience in real-time, allowing Intermountain to match the pace of new clinical and business solutions across the enterprise.
