Intermap Technologies Mourns Death of Valued Board Member
DENVER, May 11, 2015 /PRNewswire/ - Intermap Technologies Corp. (TSX:IMP) today announced the passing of L. David Sikes on Thursday, May 7, 2015. A member of the Intermap board of directors since April 2014, Mr. Sikes received his Electrical Engineering degree from Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) and spent the majority of his career as an executive in the semiconductor industry working for companies such as National Semiconductor, Motorola, Eastman Kodak, ASM International, MicroComponent Technology and Ramtron International Corporation. He was most recently the owner/principal of Exeter Consulting, working with technology startup companies across the country.
"Intermap has lost a respected leader and a dedicated director, and the technology community has truly lost one of its finest contributors," said Todd Oseth, Intermap's president and CEO. "Mr. Sikes had an uncanny manner about him to break down problems and rationalize solutions. He was never deterred by negative outside forces that could stand in the way of progress. Rather, he followed his convictions and trusted his creativity resulting in positive outcomes in everything he touched. His leadership abilities naturally created followers who had unending respect for him. He was truly a people person, teacher, and mentor and he positively changed the lives of the people he touched. David was a great example of how to balance a successful career with family life, and service to his community. He has a wonderful family including several grandchildren. We will all miss him deeply."
The Company is conducting a search for a replacement member to the board of directors and expects to announce a new board member during this calendar year.
