Icon Award Winner Profiles
Bavarian State Police
With more than 40,000 employees, Bavarian State Police is one of the largest police forces in Germany. Their efforts have helped make Bavaria Germany's safest state. An Intergraph customer for more than 16 years, Bavarian State Police implemented Intergraph's computer-aided dispatch (I/CAD) solution at nine police command centers to ensure emergency services across Bavaria can access information. In addition, a web component, I/NetDispatcher, supports three thousand concurrent users in 280 police stations, the largest of any public safety agency worldwide. The agency also implemented GeoMedia Smart Client, a powerful spatial data platform, which allows police to integrate spatial data into their command-and-control system; this geospatial solution will go into live operation all over Bavaria soon.
CET
CET is the traffic engineering company for the City of Sao Paulo, Brazil, the largest city in the Americas. Working with Sisgraph, CET implemented Intergraph's I/CAD to coordinate field personnel and improve incident response times. CET has gone from managing spreadsheets to managing one of the most dynamic traffic operations centers in the world. CET now handles 13,000 events every day through the CAD system. CET also integrated mobile technology to give field crews more visibility to data and Intergraph's Business Intelligence tools to unlock information and generate reports to help make better operational decisions about future events.
Office of Unified Communications
The Office of Unified Communications serves to protect not only the citizens of Washington, D.C., but also thousands of federal government employees and millions of visitors. As a unified center, the OUC handles dispatch for police, fire, EMS and also handles 311 calls for city services and information. A long-time Intergraph CAD and mobile customer, the OUC also utilizes reporting and analysis tools to make smarter decisions. With Intergraph's Incident Analyst, OUC analyzes significant past events to make more informed response decisions going forward, with the agency uses. With Intergraph's Business Intelligence, the OUC has been able to generate reports in one day that previously took six to eight months.
