Innovators Invited to Submit Proposals for Technology Evaluation by April 24, 2017
SAN DIEGO, Calif., April 17, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- EvoNexus, the leading tech startup incubator in Southern California, is partnering with InterDigital, Inc. (NASDAQ:IDCC) to invite early stage companies and innovators to present their technologies to InterDigital executives through the EvoNexus MarketLink program. The goal: give incubator-stage innovators a chance to secure investment or other opportunities from one of the world's leading mobile research and development companies. Among InterDigital's primary technology interest areas include augmented, mixed and virtual reality, artificial intelligence, Internet of Things, 5G, and advanced handheld display technologies.
InterDigital designs and develops advanced technologies that enable and enhance mobile communications and capabilities. For over four decades, InterDigital has been a pioneer in mobile technology and a key contributor to global wireless standards. The company is active in funding technology before and beyond the seed stage. InterDigital's Innovation Partners program provides financing for companies, research institutes and even individuals engaged in leading-edge research in a variety of areas. The company also has an active M&A program, and makes targeted investment in venture-round companies.
Local and non-local emerging companies are requested to submit an online application by April 24, 2017, for the opportunity to engage with the InterDigital team. Following the application approval process, EvoNexus plans to host the selected companies on May 16-18, 2017 at its headquarters in San Diego, Calif., for a private networking reception and series of hour-long one-on-one private meetings for selected companies. InterDigital executives expected to participate in the MarketLink event include, among others: B.K. Yi, CTO and Scott McQuilkin, Senior Executive VP, Innovation, as well as other senior executives from the company's InterDigital Labs team.
Now in its 12th year, the EvoNexus MarketLink program connects tech industry leaders with emerging technology companies. Emerging companies from the region and from afar have gained the opportunity to meet privately with decision-makers within these large corporations.
