NEW YORK, Sept. 14 /PRNewswire/ -- On September 16, families around the country are encouraged to sit down and talk about money and financial responsibility as part of "The National Money Night Talk" program, presented by American Express and personal finance expert Jean Chatzky.  

To help parents get prepared to have the talk, American Express and Jean Chatzky have created an online resource with exclusive content from Jean Chatzky tailored to kids in three age groups: middle school, high school and college. Jean's tips cover important financial topics like living within a budget, saving and the value of money.

Also available is a letter to teachers from Jean Chatzky with a homework suggestion for students to talk with their parents about money at home on the night of September 16th – in an effort to encourage educators to help raise awareness of this financial literacy cause.
